Repair Information

This repair procedure is for vehicles built after approximately November 5, 2014 (with a 2nd Generation Rear Node).
For vehicles built through approximately November 5, 2014 (with a 1st Generation Rear Node), see Rear Shock Tower Reinforcement (Built Through November 5, 2014).
Review all collision repair general practices and safety documentation and wear the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) before beginning this procedure.
This procedure can be completed without using a frame bench.

Repair Procedure

Remove the original component.

or Factory Spot Welds

or Bolts, hex-head
Prepare for installation.
or Structural Rivets, 6.5 mm Medium
or Bolts, hex-head
Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
Install the new component or components.
Torque the bolts to 30 Nm.
Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
