Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the original component.

  3. Remove the stud from the ASSEMBLY - TORQUE BOX FRONT service part.

    Note
    The indicated stud must be removed due to interference with a brake line.

    Apply corrosion protection over the removed stud area.
  4. Prepare for installation.

  7. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  8. Install the new component or components.

    Torque the bolt to 22 Nm.

    Note
    For rivets installed through the Torque Box Assembly and into the cabin of the vehicle, make sure the rivets do not rub against the under-carpet insulation pad. If necessary, trim the insulation pad slightly to provide clearance.
  9. After painting is complete, use a butyl patch to cover the rivets shown.

  10. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
