  • 2026-05-13: Removed the steps to release/fasten the bolts securing the LH and RH seat belts to the seat frame.

Remove

  1. Remove the trunk tub. See Trunk Tub (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the 3rd row LH seat cushion bolster. See Bolster - Seat Cushion - 3rd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the 3rd row RH seat cushion bolster. See Bolster - Seat Cushion - 3rd Row - RH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  5. Disconnect the 3rd row LH and RH seat frame harness connectors.

  6. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the 3rd row seat LH and RH seat belts to the seat back.

  7. Remove and discard the outer bolts (x2) that attach the 3rd row seatback complete to the body.

  8. Remove and discard the inner bolts (x2) that attach the 3rd row seatback complete to the body.

  9. With assistance, remove the 3rd row seat back complete from the vehicle.

    Note
    Lift the seat back complete up, and then move the entire part out through the liftgate.

Install

  1. With assistance, align the location pins (x2) on the 3rd row seat back complete to the holes on the vehicle to place the seat back complete into position.
  2. Hand-tighten new inner bolts (x2) (1616775-00-B) that attach the 3rd row seatback complete to the body.

  3. Hand-tighten new outer bolts (x2) (1616775-00-B) that attach the 3rd row seatback complete to the body.

  4. Hand-tighten new bolts (x2) (1616775-00-B) that attaches the 3rd row seat LH and RH seat belts to the seat back.

  7. Torque the bolts (x2) that attach the 3rd row seat LH and RH seat belts to the seat back.

  8. Connect the 3rd row LH and RH seat frame harness connectors.

  9. Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  10. Install the 3rd row RH seat cushion bolster. See Bolster - Seat Cushion - 3rd Row - RH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
