Trim - Trough - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the LH liftgate belt bumper stop from the body side. See Bumper Stop - Liftgate (Body Side) - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the liftgate wedge damper base. See Wedge Damper Base - Liftgate - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Apply masking tape around the LH corner of the rear upper fascia.
  5. Pull the trunk seal upward to partially remove it.
  6. Release the clips (x3) at the bottom of the LH rear trough trim.
  7. Release the clip at the top of the LH rear trough trim.
  8. Release the clips (x3) and the magic tape strips (x2) at the side of the LH rear trough trim, and then remove the trough trim from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the clips (x3) and the magic tape strips (x2) at the side of the LH rear trough trim.
  2. Install the clip at the top of the LH rear trough trim.
  3. Install the clips (x3) at the bottom of the LH rear trough trim.
  4. Install the LH liftgate belt bumper stop to the body side. See Bumper Stop - Liftgate (Body Side) - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the liftgate seal.

    Note
    Tap the seal with a dead blow hammer to smooth it out. Ensure that the seal covers the interior trim panel.
  6. Remove all masking tapes from the LH corner of the rear upper fascia.
  7. Install the liftgate wedge damper base. See Wedge Damper Base - Liftgate - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
