Dump Switch (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Release the clips (x14) that attach the LH trunk side trim to the body to facilitate the release of the C pillar upper trim.
  3. Partially release the LH upper C-pillar trim.
  4. Disconnect the seat dump switch connector.
  5. Press and hold the clips (x2) on both sides of the dump switch, and then slide the switch forward to remove it from the LH trunk side trim.

Install

  1. Align and insert the rear location tab, and then install the dump switch to the LH trunk side trim.

    Make sure the clips are fully seated.
  2. Connect the seat dump switch connector.
  3. Install the LH upper C-pillar trim, and then seat the seal around the edge of the trim.

    Replace the damaged clips.
  4. Align the location pins (x2) and the guide tabs (x2) to the slots on the vehicle, and then secure the clips (x14) that attach the LH trunk side trim to the body. Seat the seal around the edge of the trim.
  5. Close the liftgate.
