Trunk Side Trim - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the 3rd row seat back assembly. See Seat Back - Complete - 3rd Row (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Use a plastic trim tool to release the clips (x2) that attach the LH trunk pocket bracket to the body, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
  4. Release the clips (x14), locator pins (x2), and tabs (x2) that attach the LH trunk side trim to the body.

    Note
    This is to aid the removal of the C-pillar upper trim.
  5. Disconnect the 3rd row seat switch connector.
  6. Release the clip that attaches the LH trunk side trim to the body, and then disconnect the 12V power outlet connector.
  7. Remove the LH trunk side trim from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Connect the 12V power outlet connector, and then install the clip that attaches the LH trunk side trim to the body.
  2. Connect the 3rd row seat switch connector.
  3. Install the clips (x14), locator pins (x2), and tabs (x2) that attach the LH trunk side trim to the body.

    Note
    After installation, make sure that the seal fully covers the edge of the trim.
  4. Position the LH pocket bracket to the vehicle, and then install the clips (x2) that attach the bracket to the body.
  5. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the 3rd row seat back assembly. See Seat Back - Complete - 3rd Row (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
