Tube - Drain - Extension - HVAC (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Equipment:
  • 1082495-13-A - Gasket Scraper
  • 2151853-00-A - 3M PN38180 Glue Cleaner_230G (The glue cleaner part number may vary in different regions.)
  • 1031108-00-A - P-80 Emulsion Paste

Remove

  1. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the clip that attaches the front drive unit (FDU) inverter inlet hose to the FDU.
  3. Use a gasket scraper to remove the sponge from the body, and then remove the HVAC extension drain tube.

    Push the inverter inlet hose as needed to allow enough space to remove the drain tube.

    Make sure that the two sealing rings are removed.
  4. Use glue cleaner to clean the remaining adhesive and sponge, and then wipe with IPA wipes and allow 1 minute to dry.

    Make sure the installation area is completely cleaned.

Install

  1. Gently lift a part of the backing paper and snip it, and then stick it back.
  2. Remove the tube lid and evenly apply grease (1031108-00-A) to the O-rings (x2).

    Make sure to use the specified lubricant, otherwise, it may affect the performance of the O-rings.
  3. Place the HVAC extension drain tube to the body with the the arrow points vertically upwards, then remove the yellow backing paper and press the sponge stick it to the body.
  4. Install the clip that attaches the FDU inverter inlet hose to the FDU.
  5. Install the front aero shield panel. See Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
