Do not stack Collision Repair correction codes unless explicitly told to do so. Depending on the damage to the vehicle, additional repairs may be required.

Repair Procedure

  1. Remove the Assembly - Trailer Hitch (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the Garnish - Fender - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the Bracket - Rear Wing - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the Bracket - Attachment - Fascia - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the Wheel Arch Liner - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the Carrier - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. LH component only: Remove the Taillight - LH (Global) (Remove and Replace).
  8. RH component only: Remove the Reflex Marker - Taillight - RH (Global) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the Air Extractor - Rear - Outer - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the Trim - Liftgate Trough - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the Trim - Liftgate Trough - Center (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the Seal - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove the Power Strut - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  15. Remove the Applique - Roof - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the Door Assembly - Rear Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the Seal - Body - Side - Rear - Primary - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove the Bracket - Racetrack - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Remove the Bracket - Racetrack - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  20. Remove the Bracket - Racetrack - Sill - LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Remove the Striker - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  22. Remove the Glass - Rear Quarter - LH (Remove and Replace).
  23. Remove the Headliner (Remove and Install).
  24. Remove the Subframe Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
  25. Remove the HV Battery (AWD) (Remove and Install).
  26. Remove the Rear Node Outer Reinforcement.
  27. Remove the original component.

  28. Prepare for installation.

    • A = 51 mm.
    • B = 15 mm.

    or Bolts

  29. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  30. Install the new component or components.
    Torque all bolts to 25 Nm.
  31. Install the Rear Node Outer Reinforcement.
  32. Install the fasteners as indicated.
    or High Strength Structural Rivets, 6.5 mm
    • C = 10 mm.
    • D = 29 mm.
  33. For vehicles built through February 14, 2022 only: Fill the gap between the Quarter Outer panel and the Quarter Outer Lower panel (indicated in red) with urethane.
  34. Once the urethane has cured, use seam sealer to completely fill the seam.
  35. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
  36. Install the HV Battery (AWD) (Remove and Install).
  37. Install the Subframe Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).
  38. Install the Headliner (Remove and Install).
  39. Install the Glass - Rear Quarter - LH (Remove and Replace).
  40. Install the Striker - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  41. Install the Bracket - Racetrack - Sill - LH (Remove and Replace).
  42. Install the Bracket - Racetrack - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  43. Install the Bracket - Racetrack - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  44. Install the Seal - Body - Side - Rear - Primary - LH (Remove and Replace).
  45. Install the Door Assembly - Rear Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  46. Install the Applique - Roof - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  47. Install the Power Strut - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  48. Install the Seal - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  49. Install the Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  50. Install the Trim - Liftgate Trough - Center (Remove and Replace).
  51. Install the Trim - Liftgate Trough - LH (Remove and Replace).
  52. Install the Air Extractor - Rear - Outer - LH (Remove and Replace).
  53. RH component only: Install the Reflex Marker - Taillight - RH (Global) (Remove and Replace).
  54. LH component only: Install the Taillight - LH (Global) (Remove and Replace).
  55. Install the Carrier - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  56. Install the Wheel Arch Liner - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  57. Install the Bracket - Attachment - Fascia - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  58. Install the Bracket - Rear Wing - LH (Remove and Replace).
  59. Install the Garnish - Fender - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  60. Install the Assembly - Trailer Hitch (Remove and Replace).
