Do not stack Collision Repair correction codes unless explicitly told to do so. Depending on the damage to the vehicle, additional repairs may be required.

Repair Procedure

  1. LH and RH components: Remove the Trim - Liftgate Trough - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the Bracket - Attachment - Fascia - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the Seal - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the Striker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the Assembly - Trailer Hitch (Remove and Replace).
  6. LH and RH components: Remove the Air Extractor - Rear - Inner - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. LH and RH components: Remove the Air Extractor - Rear - Outer - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - RH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the original component.

    Note
    When drilling out spot welds, use a drill bit that creates a hole correctly sized for the fastener that will replace the spot weld.
  12. Prepare for installation.
    Note
    A red X indicates a location where a factory-installed fastener is not being replaced. Secure this location using structural adhesive only.

  13. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  14. Install the new component or components.
    Torque the nuts to 50 Nm.
  15. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
  16. Install the NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Install the Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - RH (Remove and Replace).
  19. LH and RH components: Install the Air Extractor - Rear - Outer - LH (Remove and Replace).
  20. LH and RH components: Install the Air Extractor - Rear - Inner - LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the Assembly - Trailer Hitch (Remove and Replace).
  22. Install the Striker - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  23. Install the Seal - Liftgate (Remove and Replace).
  24. Install the Bracket - Attachment - Fascia - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  25. LH and RH components: Install the Trim - Liftgate Trough - LH (Remove and Replace).
