Skidplate - Front (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 30011002

Removal

  1. Remove the bash plate extrusion (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the front aero shield (refer to procedure).
  3. Remove the bolts (x4) that secure the HV battery and skid plate to the front subframe (torque 30 Nm).
    CAUTION
    Do not use an impact wrench to remove battery fasteners.

    Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
  4. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the center of the skidplate to the subframe.
    • Vehicles built through October 16, 2016: Torque 10 Nm
    • Vehicles built after October 16, 2016: Torque 16 Nm

  5. Remove the front skidplate from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
