Bracket - Bumper - Rear - Center (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Open liftgate
  4. Run ODIN routine
  5. Raise vehicle fully, lower lift onto locks
    Note
    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to side if both locks are not engaged
  6. Remove bolts securing mid aero shield to rear fascia
    Note
    11x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x bolt, T30, 4.5 Nm
  7. Lower vehicle to comfortable working height
    Note
    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side, Ensure the vehicle is stable by rocking the vehicle on the lift immediately after the tires have left the ground, Always lower the lift arms onto the locks after raising the vehicle
  8. Remove LH liftgate stop from vehicle
    Note
    1x bump stop
  9. Remove RH liftgate stop from vehicle
    Note
    1x bump stop
  10. Remove LH liftgate trough trim
    Note
    1x clip, 4x double sided tape strip
  11. Remove RH liftgate trough trim
    Note
    1x clip, 4x double sided tape strip
  12. Remove bolt securing LH top of fascia to bracket
    Note
    1x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm
  13. Remove bolt securing RH top of fascia to bracket
    Note
    1x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm
  14. Remove clip securing LH rear fender garnish and arch liner
    Note
    2x push clip
  15. Remove clip securing RH rear fender garnish and arch liner
    Note
    2x push clip
  16. Partially release LH rear fender garnish from rear fascia
    Note
    3x clips, 7 tabs
  17. Partially release RH rear fender garnish from rear fascia
    Note
    3x clips, 7 tabs
  18. Remove screw securing LH rear fascia to quarter panel
    Note
    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
  19. Remove screw securing RH rear fascia to quarter panel
    Note
    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
  20. Apply masking tape to protect LH rear quarter panel
  21. Apply masking tape to protect RH rear quarter panel
  22. Remove rear fascia from vehicle
    Note
    24x tabs, Recommended assistance, Take care not to damaged connectors and harness while pulling fascia away from vehicle, Connectors removal next step
  23. Disconnect rear fascia harness connector
    Note
    2x connectors, Located on LH rear side, Recommend assistance, Place fascia on padded surface
  24. Remove rear fascia center bracket
    Note
    5x bolts, 10mm, 3nm, remove bolts, pull bracket straight out and away from body
  25. Install rear fascia center bracket
    Note
    5x bolts, 10mm, 3nm
  26. Reconnect rear fascia harness connector
    Note
    2x connectors, Located on LH rear side, Recommend assistance, Position fascia for install
  27. Install rear fascia onto vehicle
    Note
    24x tabs, Recommended assistance, Align mounting 2 top studs
  28. Remove masking tape from LH rear quarter panel
  29. Remove masking tape from RH rear quarter panel
    Note
  30. Close LH front door

Install

  1. Install screw securing LH rear fascia to quarter panel
    Note
    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
  2. Install screw securing RH rear fascia to quarter panel
    Note
    1x screw, T25, 1.5 Nm
  3. Install LH rear fender garnish onto rear fascia
    Note
    3x clips, 7 tabs
  4. Install RH rear fender garnish onto rear fascia
    Note
    3x clips, 7 tabs
  5. Install clip securing LH rear fender garnish and arch liner
    Note
    2x push clip
  6. Install clip securing RH rear fender garnish and arch liner
    Note
    2x push clip
  7. Install bolt securing LH top of fascia to bracket
    Note
    1x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm
  8. Install bolt securing RH top of fascia to bracket
    Note
    1x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm
  9. Clean LH liftgate body trough trim surface
    Note
    Use IPA wipes to clean body surface where trough trim is fasten with double sided strip, Allow 1 minute for dry time
  10. Clean RH liftgate body trough trim surface
    Note
    Use IPA wipes to clean body surface where trough trim is fasten with double sided strip, Allow 1 minute for dry time
  11. Clean LH liftgate trough trim surface
    Note
    Use IPA wipes to clean trough trim where double sided tape is attached to, Allow 1 minute for dry time, Apply 3M tape primer to tape surface
  12. Clean RH liftgate trough trim surface
    Note
    Use IPA wipes to clean trough trim where double sided tape is attached to, Allow 1 minute for dry time, Apply 3M tape primer to tape surface
  13. Install double sided tape onto LH trough trim
    Note
    4x double sided tape strip
  14. Install double sided tape onto RH trough trim
    Note
    4x double sided tape strip
  15. Install LH liftgate trough trim into place
    Note
    1x clip, 4x double sided tape strip, Remove tape backing before installation, Partially lift the main seal for better access
  16. Install RH liftgate trough trim into place
    Note
    1x clip, 4x double sided tape strip, Remove tape backing before installation, Partially lift the main seal for better access
  17. Install LH liftgate stop from vehicle
    Note
    1x bump stop
  18. Install RH liftgate stop from vehicle
    Note
    1x bump stop
  19. Close liftgate
  20. Raise vehicle fully, lower lift onto locks
    Note
    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to side if both locks are not engaged
  21. Install bolts securing mid aero shield to rear fascia
    Note
    11x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, 2x bolt, T30, 4.5 Nm
  22. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
    Note
    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  23. Remove vehicle from lift
    Note
    Lower rack arms fully and move them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode", Via Controls > Service > Jack Mode
  24. Raise LH front window
