Seal - Primary - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Open the front door.
  2. Apply masking tape on the A-pillar to indicate the location of the junction of the seal near the door quarter glass.
  3. Carefully release the seal, starting from the rocker panel and working towards the upper section of the seal.
    Note
    Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
  4. Remove the seal from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Clean the affected areas before installation.
  1. Make sure that the junction of the seal is installed as indicated by the masking tape that was applied during removal.
  2. Ensure that the lip of the seal is seated properly.
    Tip
    Use a silicone based lubricant to aid installation, if necessary.
