Insulator - Wheelhouse - LH (Remove and Replace)

Retirer

  1. Remove the 2nd row seat cushion. See Coussin de siège - inférieur - appuie-tête - 2e rangée (retirez et remplacez).
  2. Remove the LH Lower C-Pillar trim. See .
  3. Remove the front trunk load floor. See .
  4. Remove the trunk sill trim. See
  5. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Garniture - latérale - coffre - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
  6. Move 2nd row 60 seat back to vertical position.
  7. Disconnect the 2nd row 60 seat connector.
  8. Release the 2nd row 60 seat connector from the LH seat frame.
    Note
    Pinch the tabs on the clip to avoid damage.
  9. Disconnect the LV power. See Alimentation 12 V/BT (déconnectez et connectez).
  10. Perform the charge port voltage check. See .
  11. Release the harness guides (x3) from the body at the LH rear door sill.
  12. Remove the bolt that secures the busbar cover access door.
    Tip
    L'un ou plusieurs des outils suivants sont recommandés :
    • Douille longue de 10 mm
  13. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the charge port busbar kit to the HV header.
    Tip

  14. Lift the busbar kit connector to remove it from the HV header.
  15. Remove the HV insulating gloves.
  16. Cut the LH rear wheelhouse insulator.
  17. Remove the LH rear wheelhouse insulator from the vehicle.

Installer

  1. Cut the LH wheelhouse insulator according to the cutout positions of the old wheelhouse insulator for prune installation afterward.
  2. Install the LH rear wheelhouse insulator to the body.
  3. Inspect and put on the HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
  4. Clean the HV connector contact surface of residual Penetrox.
    Note
    Allow 1 minute dry time after removing Penetrox. New busbar comes with Penetrox applied to the HV connector.
  5. Position the busbar kit connector and lower it onto the HV header.
    Note
    Hold the busbar firmly as there is tension on, caution not to damaged the busbar connectors.
  6. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the charge port busbar kit to the HV Header.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip

  7. Perform Hioki resistance test at each HV joint from the HV busbar lead to the bolt head.
    • If the resistance is greater than 0.195 mΩ (195 μΩ), stop work and escalate the Toolbox session.
    • If the resistance is lower than 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), reposition the probes and measure again.
    • If the resistance is repeatedly between 0.00 mΩ and 0.050 mΩ (50 μΩ), hioki test passed, proceed to the next step.
  8. Install the bolt that secures the busbar cover access door.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

  9. Remove the HV insulating gloves.
  10. Secure the harness guide (x3) to the body at the LH rear door sill.
  11. Connect the 2nd row LH seat connector.
  12. Secure the 2nd row LH seat connector to the LH seat frame.
  13. Connect the LV battery power. See Alimentation 12 V/BT (déconnectez et connectez).
  14. Fold 2nd row 60 seatback down.
    Note
    Protect seat back upholstery if necessary. Do not put weight on seat in folded position without cushion present due to risk of bending locator tab on frame.
  15. Install the LH trunk side trim. See Garniture - latérale - coffre - gauche (retirez et remplacez).
  16. Install the trunk sill trim. See
  17. Install the front trunk load floor. See .
  18. Move the 2nd row 60 seatback to vertical postion.
  19. Install the LH Lower C-Pillar trim. See .
  20. Install the 2nd row seat cushion. See Coussin de siège - inférieur - appuie-tête - 2e rangée (retirez et remplacez).
  21. Close the liftgate and the charge port door.
  22. Move both front seats to original position.
  23. Raise all windows and close all doors.
