Harness - Front End Module (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Disconnect the LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install)
  5. Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the radar sensor.
  6. Disconnect the electrical harness connectors from the LH and RH front airbag sensors.

  7. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the active grille shutter electrical connector.

    CAUTION
    Do not push down on the red tab. Pull the red tab to release the connector lock.
  8. Remove the ambient temperature sensor cover from the active griller shutter, and then disconnect the sensor electrical connector.
  9. Release the clip and remove the ambient temperature sensor from the active grill shutter.
  10. Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the hood latch assembly.
  11. Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the hood latch actuator.
  12. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LH and RH front end carrier electrical harness connectors.

  13. Release the clips that attach the FEM electrical harness to the front end carrier, and then remove the harness from the front end carrier.

Install

  1. Position the FEM electrical harness into the vehicle, and then install the clips that attach the electrical harness to the front end carrier.
  2. Connect the LH and RH front end carrier harness electrical connectors, and then engage the connector locks.

  3. Connect the hood latch assembly electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  4. Connect the hood latch actuator electrical connector.
  5. Install the clip and ensure it is fully seated, then install the ambient temperature sensor to the active grill shutter.
  6. Connect the ambient sensor electrical connector, and then install the sensor cover onto the active grille shutter.
  7. Connect the active grille shutter electrical connector, and then engage the connector lock.
  8. Connect the radar sensor electrical connector.
  9. Connect the LH and RH front airbag sensors electrical connectors.

  10. Install the front fascia. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install)
  11. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  12. Connect the LV power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  13. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
