Parts
Tesla only sells parts that have been tested for safety. Tesla vehicles are fully tested and certified as an entire assembly. Each part plays a role in the overall operation of the vehicle and is optimized for fit, function, safety, and structural integrity. Only Tesla-approved parts should be used when performing repairs on Tesla vehicles.
Tesla does not support using any third-party replacement, used, or recycled parts because Tesla cannot confirm that these parts will not adversely affect vehicle safety. Tesla may sell certain used or reconditioned parts that Tesla has inspected and/or tested for safety and performance.

of a locking device is impaired during removal, it must be replaced.

these types of part might also cause other related components to not be covered
under warranty.
