Rear Wheel Arch (Rear Section)

Repair Procedure

  1. Remove unnecessary components from the service assembly.
  2. Remove the necessary portion of the Mast Assembly (Section) to expose the underlying component being replaced.
  3. Remove the original component.

    When drilling out spot welds, use a drill bit that creates a hole correctly sized for the fastener that will replace the spot weld.
  4. Prepare for installation.

    Reference Line/Point

    or High Strength Structural Rivets, 6.5 mm
    • A = 98 mm
    • B = 185 mm
    • C = 11 mm

    The installation spot weld location may vary in the area circled in red, so the fastener must be placed in the location specified by the measurements.

    or Rivets, 4.8 mm

    or Countersunk Rivets, 4.8 mm Long

  5. Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.
  6. Install the new component or components.
  7. Install the portion of the Mast Assembly (Section) that was removed to expose the component being replaced.
  8. Install the fasteners as indicated.

  9. Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
