Remove

  1. Remove the clips (x2) that attach the LH rocker panel cover to the front and rear wheel arch liners.

  2. Release the clips (x11) and tabs (x11) that attach the LH rocker panel cover to the LH rocket panel carrier.

    Work a plastic trim tool between the door panel and rocker cover to release the tabs.
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) and clips (x4) that attach the LH rocker panel carrier to the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  4. Release the clips (x10) that attach the LH rocker panel carrier to the vehicle, and then remove the carrier from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Use a pry tool to release the clips and prevent damage to the carrier. Negotiate the carrier around the rear wheel liner, then the front wheel liner.

Install

  1. Maneuver the LH rocker panel carrier around the front wheel arch liner, then the rear wheel arch liner to position it into the vehicle, and then secure the clips (x10) that attach the carrier to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts (x3) and clips (x4) that attach the LH rocker panel carrier to the vehicle.
    12 Nm (8.8 lbs-ft)

  3. With assistance, position the LH rocker panel cover onto the LH rocker panel carrier, and then secure the clips (x11) and tabs (x11) that attach the cover to the carrier.

    Note
    The tabs go into the cavities on the rocker carrier and cannot be accessed from the outer side of the cover.
  4. Install the clips that attach the LH rocker panel cover to the front and rear wheel arch liners.
