Motor - Seat Track - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace)

Seat base edges are sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat base.

Replace 1660192-00-A

Remove

  1. Remove the LH front seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Rotate the front seat to access the underside.

    Note
    Protect the seat cushion from damage.
  3. Disconnect the electrical harness from the LH seat track motor connector.
  4. With assistance, remove the harness clips (x3) from the seat track motor bridge assembly.
  5. Remove and discard the outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat track to the seat cushion frame.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • SKT, 3/8" DR, HEX BIT, T50 TORX
  6. With assistance, release the outboard seat track from the track motor bridge.

    Note
    Pry up on the track motor bridge tab and slide the outboard seat track away to release.
  7. With assistance, release the track motor bridge from the inboard seat track.

Install

  1. With assistance, install the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly to the inboard seat track.

    Note
    The track motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with the inboard track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the track motor bridge into the inboard track till it is fully and securely seated.
  2. Install the outboard seat track to the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly.

    Note
    The track motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with the inboard track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the track motor bridge into the inboard track till it is fully and securely seated.
  3. Connect the track motor electrical connector.
  4. With assistance, install the harness clips (x3) to the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly.
  5. Install new outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat track to the seat cushion frame.
    38 Nm (28.0 lbs-ft)

    • SKT, 3/8" DR, HEX BIT, T50 TORX
  6. Install the LH front seat to the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
  8. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock.
  9. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_VCLEFT_SEAT-CALIBRATEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode Plus: Low Voltage ➜ Seats ➜ Calibrate
  10. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
