Hinge - Door - Front - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Support LH front door with floor jack
    Note
    Protect painted surface with soft object
  4. Apply tape around perimeter of the hinge
    Note
    This will help with alignment during installation
  5. Remove LH front door lower hinge bolts from door assembly
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 31 Nm
  6. Remove LH front door lower hinge bolts from body
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 52 Nm
  7. Remove LH front lower door hinge
    Note
    May need to raise door support to create a gap between door and body to remove

Install

  1. Position LH front lower door hinge
    Note
    Align LH front lower door hinge to original position
  2. Install LH front door lower hinge bolts to body
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 52 Nm, Partially close door to install bolts
  3. Install LH front door lower hinge bolts to door assembly
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 31 Nm
  4. Remove floor jack from LH front door
  5. Check gap and flush of front door to surrounding components

  6. Clean body side lower hinge bolts with IPA
    Note
    Allow 1 minute for IPA to dry
  7. Apply touch up paint to body side lower hinge bolts
    Note
    2x bolts, make sure to shake touch up paint before applying
  8. Remove tape around perimeter of hinge
  9. Raise LH front window
  10. Close LH front door
