Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Upper - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  3. Right-Hand Drive (RHD) only: Remove the outer HVAC plenum duct. See Plenum - Inlet - HVAC (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the underhood storage carpet. See #GUID-3E0628D6-80C0-4137-A533-64C34E3F765C.
  6. Remove the underhood storage unit. See .
  7. Remove the wiper arms. See #GUID-40F2AE79-B55A-4796-B733-9622D9A5F73B.

    Note
    For cars built on or after March 9th, 2019, the wiper module assembly does not have pigtail. Switch to "Wiper Service Mode" when removing it (China only).
  8. Release the clips that attach the LH and RH shock tower covers to the vehicle, and then remove the covers from the vehicle.

  9. Release the clips that attach the cowl screen to the vehicle, and then remove the cowl screen from the vehicle.
  10. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper module.

    Do not place limbs within the module linkage area as the wiper arms will automatically transition to Parking Mode.
  11. Remove the bolts that attach the wiper module to the body, and then remove the wiper module from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the bolts that attach the wiper module to the vehicle.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)

    Keep your fingers away from any potential pinch points and moving parts while connecting and installing the wiper module. Do not attempt to test the module until it is fully installed in the vehicle.

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper module.

    Warning
    Do not place limbs within the module linkage area as the wiper arms will automatically transition to Parking Mode.
  3. Connect the clips that attach the cowl screen to the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Carefully install the cowl screen panel to avoid damage to the windshield. Applying excessive force on the windshield can crack the glass.
  4. Connect the clips that attach the LH and RH shock tower covers to the vehicle.

  6. Install the underhood storage unit. See .
  7. Install the underhood storage carpet. See #GUID-3E0628D6-80C0-4137-A533-64C34E3F765C.
  8. Install the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  9. Right-Hand Drive (RHD) only: Install the outer HVAC plenum duct. See Plenum - Inlet - HVAC (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Upper - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  12. Enable Service Mode through the touchscreen. See .
  13. Perform a software reinstall. See .
  14. Run the Wiper Replacement procedure: on the touch screen, touch Service > Closures > Windows > Wiper replacement, touch Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  15. Verify the operation of the windshield washers and wipers.
