Repair Information
- Review all collision repair general practices and safety documentation and wear the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) before beginning this procedure.
- This procedure can be completed without using a frame bench.

Repair Procedure
- Remove the Dash Insulator (Remove and Replace).
- LH Component only: Remove the Brake Lines - Pipe - Side Sill (Remove and Replace).
- LH Component only: Remove the Brake Lines - Front Brake Pipe (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the Hood Hinge - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the Hood Strut (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the Link - Compliance - Lower - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the original component.

Remove the stud from the ASSEMBLY - TORQUE BOX FRONT service part.
NoteThe indicated stud must be removed due to interference with a brake line.
- Cut Line
NoteApply corrosion protection over the removed stud area. -
Prepare for installation.
NoteA red X indicates a location where a factory-installed fastener is not being replaced. Secure this location using structural adhesive only.

Prepare for installation.

- or Bolts, hex-head A = 31 mm B = 8 mm
- Prepare for installation.
- Apply structural adhesive to the mating surfaces on the vehicle and the new component or components.

Install the new component or components.
Torque the bolt to 22 Nm.
NoteFor rivets installed through the Torque Box Assembly and into the cabin of the vehicle, make sure the rivets do not rub against the under-carpet insulation pad. If necessary, trim the insulation pad slightly to provide clearance. -
After painting is complete, use a
butyl patch to cover the rivets shown.
NoteUse several small butyl patches if necessary.
- Perform any necessary post-repair operations.
- Install the Link - Compliance - Lower - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the Hood Strut (Remove and Replace).
- Install the Hood Hinge - LH (Remove and Replace).
- LH Component only: Install the Brake Lines - Front Brake Pipe (Remove and Replace).
- LH Component only: Install the Brake Lines - Pipe - Side Sill (Remove and Replace).
- Install the Dash Insulator (Remove and Replace).
