 Replace

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Upper - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the underhood storage unit. See #GUID-4FBD5199-27DF-4D9D-A193-1901CE127862.
  6. Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the LH front airbag sensor. See #GUID-D8CEBAE6-81BE-4914-B6D9-1E92273588E3.
  8. Remove the center front airbag sensor. See #GUID-28F80EB5-6C65-4414-9D9E-D89FEA082368.
  9. Remove the RH front airbag sensor. See #GUID-D8CEBAE6-81BE-4914-B6D9-1E92273588E3.
  10. Remove and discard the bolts that attach the front bumper with the energy absorbers to the crash cans.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
    • 3 in extension
  11. Carefully remove the front bumper with the energy absorbers from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Do not damage the body when prying the front bumper.

    Note
    Slightly tap the front bumper with a dead blow hammer to assist with removal of the front bumper.
  12. Remove the foam from the front bumper.

Install

  1. Install the foam onto the new front bumper beam.
  2. Position the front bumper with energy absorber onto the vehicle.
  3. Install the new bolts that attach the front bumper with the energy absorbers to the LH and RH crash cans.
    75 Nm (55.3 lbs-ft)

  7. Install the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the underhood storage unit. See #GUID-4FBD5199-27DF-4D9D-A193-1901CE127862.
  9. Install the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Upper - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
