Note
Newer versions of exterior door mirrors require the firmware version to be 2025.2.3 or later to prevent accelerated wear on the mirror actuator.

Remove

  1. Use a plastic trim tool to pry up along the inner edge of the LH door mirror cover.
  2. Lift upward to release the tabs that attach the LH door mirror cover to the LH door mirror, and then remove the mirror cover.
  3. Remove the front LH door tweeter. See #GUID-078C741D-4A78-4C3D-8CC8-9E56E9E472FB.
  4. Release the clips that attach the reflector to the rear edge of the LH front door trim panel and the screw cover to the front of the armrest, and then remove the reflector and cover from the trim panel.
  5. Remove the screws that attach the trim panel to the door.

    • Torx T30 socket

  6. Pull the LH front door trim panel outwards to release the clips that attach the panel to the door, and then carefully rotate the door panel clockwise 90 degrees and set it onto a soft surface to prevent damage.

    CAUTION
    Do not remove the trim panel from the door at this time.

    Note
    Inspect the harness clips and routing for vehicles built before 12/17/18.

  7. Disconnect the electrical harness from the LH door mirror connectors.
  8. Release the clip that attaches the LH front door mirror harness to the door assembly.
  9. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH front glass run seal to door.
  10. Remove the bolts that attach the LH door mirror to the LH front door.

  11. Release the clip that attaches the LH front door mirror to the door assembly, push the grommet through the door opening, and then route the mirror harness through the door while lifting up on the mirror to remove the mirror from the door assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH door mirror onto the door assembly, route the harness through the door opening, and then secure the clip that attaches the mirror to the door.
  2. Install the bolts that attach the LH door mirror to the LH front door.
    15 Nm (11.1 lbs-ft)

  3. Secure the clips (x3) that attach the LH front glass run seal to door.
  4. Connect the electrical harness to the LH door mirror connectors.

    Note
    If the mirror assembly was replaced due to an internal short in the adjustment motor, reset the affected body controller (Service Mode > Low Voltage > Power Distribution > Reset VCLeft or Reset VCRight) so that circuit protection is cleared and the new mirror can fully function.
  5. Secure the clip that attaches the LH front door mirror harness to the door assembly.
  6. Install the LH front door trim panel. See #GUID-A1113453-D65F-4779-B2C0-00D36D1C95B1.
  7. Install the LH door mirror cover, and then press down to fasten the tabs that attach the cover to the mirror.
