Remove

  1. Remove the LH B-pillar applique. See #GUID-23770827-D613-4A23-AF05-BE4B00E01701.
  2. Release the clips (x3) that attach the front LH primary body seal to the mid B-pillar, the upper B-pillar, and the mid A-pillar.
  3. Pull on the seal to remove it from the body.

Install

  1. Loosely install the front LH primary body seal to the body.
  2. If the vehicle has markings on the B-pillar, skip the next step and proceed with alignment and installation.
  3. Apply tape on the B-pillar and mark a line on the tape 33 mm (1.3 in) below and parallel to the top of the B-pillar body opening.
  4. Align the rear LH primary seal joint line to the marking on the B-pillar.
  5. Fasten the clips (x3) that attach the front LH primary body seal to the mid A-pillar, the upper B-pillar, and the mid B-pillar.
  6. Pull the seal strings from the new seal.
  7. Tuck the seal into the bright molding, and make sure that it fits properly to the trim panels and the headliner.
  8. Press the seal into the lower corners, and then install the rest of the seal to the body.

    Stretch and tuck the seal so that it is evenly distributed around the perimeter.
  9. Install the LH B-pillar applique. See #GUID-23770827-D613-4A23-AF05-BE4B00E01701.
  10. Calibrate the windows. See Window Regulator (Recalibrate).
  11. Confirm that the window operates correctly and without any abnormal noise.
