Remove

  1. Open the LH front door.
  2. Lower the LH front window.
  3. Use a jack to support the LH front door from the bottom.

    Nota
    Make sure to use soft material to protect the door paint.
  4. Apply masking tape to the area surrounding the LH front door lower hinge on the body and door to aid in alignment during installation.
  5. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front lower door hinge to the door.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm combination wrench
  6. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front lower door hinge to the body.

    • 13 mm combination wrench
  7. Rotate the LH front lower hinge and pull it out to remove it.

Install

  1. Install the new LH front lower hinge.
  2. Hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front lower door hinge to the body.

    • 13 mm combination wrench
  3. Hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front lower door hinge to the door.

    • 10 mm combination wrench
  4. Close the LH front door and check for gap and flushness. Adjust as necessary.
  5. Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front lower door hinge to the body.
    27 Nm (19.9 lbs-ft)

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 13 mm socket
  6. Tighten the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front lower door hinge to the door.
    27 Nm (19.9 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 10 mm socket
  7. Remove the masking tape that surrounds the LH front door lower hinge on the body and door.
  8. Remove the support from the LH front door.
  9. Use IPA wipes to clean the lower hinge bolts and wait at least 1 minute to allow it to completely dry.
  10. Apply touch up paint to the LH front lower door hinge bolts as needed.

    Nota
    Make sure to shake touch up paint before applying, refer to the label for dry time instructions.
  11. Raise the LH front window.
  12. Close the LH front door.
