Remove

  1. Use a towel and/or compressed air to clean the area surrounding the spoiler.
    Warning
To avoid personal injury, eye protection must be worn while using compressed air.
  2. Assemble the badge removal kit by cutting an approximately 24 inch section of fishing line and connecting each end of the fishing line to a handle using a knot.
  3. Starting from one end of the spoiler, carefully use the badge removal kit to release the spoiler from the trunk.
    CAUTION
    Do not damage the paint.

Install

  1. Remove all adhesive from the liftgate, and clean the spoiler installation surface with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wipes and allow it to dry before continuing.
    Note
If the area requires any paint correction, request assistance from shop detailer before installation of the rear spoiler.
  2. Secure the spoiler jig special tool (1694265-00-A) onto the liftgate.
    Note

    Note
The rear spoiler should line up with reference markings on the jigs. Adjust the jigs for a centered installation of the spoiler.
  4. Remove the adhesive backing from the rear spoiler, carefully line up the spoiler to the jigs, and then apply pressure from the center outwards.
    Note
Verify the spoiler is fully adhered to the liftgate.
  5. Remove the spoiler alignment jigs.
  6. Verify the rear spoiler is properly installed.
    Note
Wipe away any excess debris with an IPA wipe.
