Sway Bar - Front

FRT No: 31012102

    Remove


  1. Raise and support vehicle.
    2. WARNING: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
     


  2. Remove front undershield (refer to procedure).

  3. Remove LH front spring and damper assembly (refer to procedure).

  4. Remove RH front spring and damper assembly.

    5. NOTE: Lower wishbone can now be maneuvered to access sway bar mounting bolts.


  5. Remove bolts (x4) securing brackets to subframe (torque - 25 Nm).

    6. NOTE: When installing, apply Loctite® 242® thread locking compound to bolt/screw threads.


  6. Remove brackets and collect backing plates.


  7. Remove Nyloc nuts (x2) securing sway bar to drop links (torque - 25 Nm).


  8. Remove sway bar from vehicle.

  9. Remove sway bar bushings from sway bar.

    10. NOTE: Apply recommended grease to bearing/bushing surfaces.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.
    2. CAUTION: Replace all Nyloc nut(s).
