Transmission Fluid - Replace

    Drain & Refill


  1. The fluid should only be drained when the transmission is warm.
    2. WARNING: Observe due care when draining the transmission fluid as the fluid can be very hot.
     


  2. Remove middle undershield (refer to procedure).

  3. Position container to collect fluid.

  4. Clean area around filler/level plug.


  5. Remove filler plug.

  6. Remove drain plug and allow fluid to drain.

  7. Clean and fit drain plug (torque - 10 Nm).

    8. NOTE: Inspect 'O' ring seal for damage and replace if necessary.


  8. Fill transmission with recommended fluid, until the fluid just runs from the hole. Allow sufficient time for the fluid to flow and reach a common level within the transmission.

  9. Clean and fit filler/level plug (torque - 15 Nm).

    10. NOTE: Inspect 'O' ring seal for damage and replace if necessary.
