Drive Coupler - Motor to Transmission

    Remove


  1. Remove insulator ring from transmission (refer to procedure).

  2. Observing the installed orientation, remove drive coupler from transmission input shaft.
    3. CAUTION: The drive coupler is secured to the transmission input shaft by a snap ring. If it can not be removed by hand, a suitable puller should be used.
     

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.

  2. Check condition of coupler snap ring on input shaft.


  3. Clean splines on input shaft and apply recommended grease.

  4. Install drive coupler onto input shaft.
    5. CAUTION: The transmission input shaft has a master spline that will only allow the drive coupler to be fitted in one position. Never force the drive coupler onto the input shaft.
