HVAC Assembly

    Remove


  1. Raise and support vehicle.
    2. WARNING: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
     


  2. Remove receiver drier (refer to procedure).

  3. Disconnect low pressure union from T-piece (torque 18 - Nm). LH drive illustrated.
    4. CAUTION: To prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.
     

    CAUTION: Plug pipe connections to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.
     


  4. Previous step is different for RH drive.


  5. Remove bolt securing clamp plate to TXV (torque - 10 Nm). LH drive illustrated.


  6. Previous step is different for RH drive.


  7. Remove clamp and disconnect AC pipes from TXV.

  8. Disconnect HVAC assembly low voltage connector. LH drive illustrated.


  9. Previous step is different for RH drive.


  10. Using a long extension remove nuts (x2) securing HVAC assembly to blower assembly (torque - 8 Nm).


  11. Collect washers (x2).

  12. Raise vehicle.

  13. Remove cable tie securing HVAC drain tube to body.


  14. Affix a draw string to end of drain tube to allow drain tube to be installed correctly.

  15. Lower vehicle.

  16. Release HVAC from blower motor latch and withdraw drain hose from body.

  17. Disconnect drain hose from HVAC assembly.


  18. Remove HVAC assembly.

    Installation
