Compressor

    Remove


  1. Remove HVAC assembly (refer to procedure).

  2. Remove nuts (x3) securing compressor to mountings (torque - 4 Nm). Remove compressor.


  3. Note fitted position of pipe. Loosen union and remove low pressure manifold to compressor pipe from compressor (torque - 35 Nm).
    4. CAUTION: Plug pipe connections to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.
     

    CAUTION: To prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.
     

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.

  2. Check that compressor mountings are secure on the mounting bracket studs. If any mounting is loose, it must be removed and Loctite® 680™ retaining compound applied to the female threads before refitting and tightening by hand.


  3. Replace A/C pipe O-rings.
