Drive Motor Assembly

    Installation


  1. Remove motor from transmission (refer to procedure).

  2. Position motor on work bench.

  3. Remove screws (x5) securing cable cover to motor (torque - 2 Nm).

    4. NOTE: When installing, apply Loctite® 222™ thread locking compound to bolt/screw threads.


  4. Remove cable cover.

  5. Remove Nomex insulator.


  6. Remove brass bolts (x3), copper washers and serrated Belleville washers (torque - 17 Nm).

    7. NOTE: The serrated Belleville washers must be fitted with the raised inner diameter against the bolt head.


  7. Remove screws (x2) securing cable shield to motor.

  8. Release cable shield and grommet from motor and remove motor cable.

  9. Remove grommet from motor cable.

  10. Remove motor lifting clamp 1001030.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.

  2. Apply a light coating of Kopr-Shield™ Compound to face of motor terminals.

  3. Clean and inspect Nomex insulator for damage and replace if necessary.

  4. Ensure cable grommet is correctly installed on cable and motor.
