Front Cover

FRT No: 16020103

    Remove


  1. Remove warranty label between front cover and enclosure.

  2. Working from left to right, remove screws (x10) securing front cover to lower lip (torque - 6 Nm / 53 in-lbs).
  3. NOTE: The center bolts (x2) are captured by the parking brake cable protective plate and clips. These must be removed before removing the center two bolts.


  4. In a right to left order, remove screws (x11) securing front cover to sheets (torque -9 Nm / 80 in-lbs)
  5. NOTE: When installing, apply Loctite® 242™ thread locking compound to bolt/screw threads.


  6. In a right to left order, remove upper row screws (x12) securing front cover to enclosure (torque - 9 Nm / 80 in-lbs).

  7. Remove side screws (x14), except arrowed screws, securing front cover to enclosure (torque - 7 Nm / 62 in-lbs).

  8. Remove remaining screws (x4) securing front cover to enclosure (torque - 7 Nm / 62 in-lbs).

  9. Using assistance, remove the front cover from the enclosure.
  10. CAUTION: Handle with care in order to prevent bending side lips.
     

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  2. Perform connection check before installing front cover. (Refer to procedure)

  3. Inspect all external fastening holes and remove and any rubber seal residue.

  4. Using assistance, install front cover on bottom lip first then, using clamps, ensure lower lip is correctly seated on enclosure lip feature.
  5. WARNING: Do not insert tools into holes to attempt to pry/align front cover. Insertion of tools through clearance holes may pose an electrical shock risk. Damage to the threaded inserts may also occur.
     


  6. Renew all fastenings.

  7. Do not tighten fastenings until all fastenings are loosely installed.

  8. Tighten fastenings in order of: side screws (x4), upper row screws (x12), side screws (x14), front cover to sheet screws (x11), front cover to lower lip screws (x10).

  9. Perform leak test. (Refer to procedure)

  10. Apply new warranty label between cover and enclosure. Install in same location as original label. Ensure that all label material/adhesive is removed before installing new label.
