Capacities

The following capacities are only an approximation of the amount of fluid required to fill the respective system.

Fluids

Air conditioning

The air conditioning system is filled with R134a refrigerant. If oil needs to be added to the system, use the oil specified below.

Up to 2010 MY: Daphne Hermetic oil FV Series

From 2010 MY: Nippon Ze-GLES RB68

Antifreeze solutions

The cooling system contains a propylene glycol (PG) based antifreeze.

Use a 50% mix of water and one of the following recommended antifreezes:

: Sierra Antifreeze Coolant-PG.

: Either Havoline Extended Life antifreeze Coolant-PG (Havoline XLC-PG) or Glacelf MPG SUPRA.

The cooling system should be drained, flushed and refilled with the correct amount of antifreeze solution at the specified service intervals.

CAUTION: Do not top-up or refill the cooling system with any other type of antifreeze.

Antifreeze concentration

The overall antifreeze concentration should not fall, by volume, below 50% to ensure that the anti-corrosion properties of the coolant are maintained. Antifreeze concentrations greater than 60% are not recommended as cooling efficiency will be impaired.

The following recommended quantities of antifreeze will provide frost protection to -48°C.

Brake/clutch fluid

Any proprietary brand of brake fluid (or brake and clutch fluid) meeting DOT 4 specification. Only use new fluid from sealed containers.

Transmission fluid

Any proprietary brand of fluid meeting ATF Dexron VI specification.

Washer fluid

Any proprietary brand of washer fluid.

Lubrication

Brake Pads

Apply a light coating of any proprietary brand of high temperature copper anti-seize paste to the contact area between the pad and caliper.

Driveshaft joints

  • Outer driveshaft joint - Remove all existing grease, clean joint and apply approximately 120g ± 10g of Olistamoly 2LN584.

  • Inner driveshaft joint - Remove all existing grease, clean joint and apply approximately 130g ± 10g of KY 1Luber C.

  • Suspension

Apply a light coating of any proprietary brand of high performance lithium based grease to the contact areas of the sway bar, sway bar bushes and brackets.

Transmission input / Motor output shafts

Only use Mobiltemp SHC 32 grease on the shaft splines.

NOTE: if components are being reused, remove any existing grease and clean the shaft splines. Ensure both the internal and external spline surfaces are clean and dry before applying the Mobiltemp SHC 32 grease.

    General greasing

Any proprietary brand of lubricating grease.

    Locks, latches and hinges

Any proprietary brand of lubricating grease.

    Electrical connectors

Apply any proprietary brand of aerosol based dielectric grease.

    Electrical posts and Ground points

Apply any proprietary brand of water resistant silicone based grease.
