Lifting instructions

The following instructions must be carried out before raising the vehicle off the ground:

To avoid damage occurring to the under body components of the vehicle, do not position jacks or axle stands under the following components:

Hydraulic jack

WARNING: Do not commence work on the underside of the vehicle until suitable safety supports have been positioned under the sill reinforced brackets.

WARNING: Always chock the wheels when jacking.

NOTE: A hydraulic jack with a minimum 1500 kg load capacity must be used.

Raising and supporting the vehicle


Position the head of the jack under the front or rear jacking points on the sills. This will raise both the front and rear wheels.

Position the head of the jack under the front jacking bracket on the forward section of the chassis. This will raise the nearest front wheel only.

WARNING: Do not commence work on the underside of the vehicle until suitable safety supports have been positioned under the sill reinforced brackets.

WARNING: Always chock the wheels when jacking.

CAUTION: Do not jack or support the vehicle on any other points than those indicated. Failure to comply is likely to result in damage to the body or chassis components.

Two post ramp


Rear lift point adaptors (tool number: 1001010) must be used when lifting the vehicle.

Before the vehicle can be raised on a two post ramp, the rear undershield must be removed to allow the rear lift point adaptors to be fitted.

Fit the rear lift adaptors to the body and turn through 90º to secure. The rear arms of the two post ramp must be located under the rear lift point adaptors.

Locate the front arms under the reinforced jacking points on the body tub .

WARNING: Death, serious injury or damage to the vehicle can occur if the vehicle if lifted on a two post ramp with the rear undershield still in place.

WARNING: The two side jacking points are not suitable for lifting the vehicle on a 2-post ramp.

  • Use a solid level ground surface.

  • Apply parking brake.

  • Select 'N'.

  • Bumpers

  • Front suspension arms

  • Steering linkage

  • Rear suspension arms

  • Battery

  • Motor

  • Transmission

  • NOTE: Jacking and supporting the front of the vehicle should only be done under the front jacking points.
