Wishbone Assembly - Front - Lower - LH

    Remove


  1. Raise and support vehicle.
    2. WARNING: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
     


  2. Remove road wheel (torque - 105 Nm).

  3. Remove Nyloc nut securing sway bar link to lower wishbone and release link. (torque - 45 Nm).


  4. Remove Nyloc nut and bolt securing damper to lower wishbone (torque - 45 Nm)


  5. Remove Nyloc nut securing lower arm ball joint to upright (torque - 55 Nm).


  6. Using a suitable tool, release lower wishbone ball joint from upright.
    7. WARNING: To avoid serious injury, use appropriate equipment to carry out this operation.
     


  7. Remove Nyloc nut and pivot bolt securing rear of wishbone to chassis and collect washers (torque - 45 Nm).

    8. NOTE: The head of the bolt is accessed from inside the vehicle by folding back the footwell carpet.

    NOTE: Always record quantity and fitted position of shims, washers, locktabs or clips.


  8. Remove Nyloc nut and pivot bolt securing front of wishbone to chassis, collect washers and remove wishbone (torque - 45 Nm).

    9. NOTE: Always record quantity and fitted position of shims, washers, locktabs or clips.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.
    2. CAUTION: Only tighten wishbone pivot bolts when the suspension is in ride height position. This can be achieved by either using the ride height tools or when the vehicle is on its wheels.
     

    CAUTION: Replace all Nyloc nut(s).
     


  2. Perform avehicle alignment.
