Remove
- Remove brake reservoir cap and place absorbent material around aperture.
 | CAUTION: If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork wash off immediately with clean water. |
- Raise and support vehicle.
 | WARNING: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle. |
- Remove road wheel (torque - 105 Nm).
- Release brake pad retaining pins from clips.
- Disconnect parking brake inner cables from caliper levers.
- Release cable rubber seals and disconnect parking brake outer cables from calipers.
- Release clips securing brake hoses to track control arms.
- Remove upper bolts securing calipers to uprights (torque - 45 Nm).
NOTE: When installing, apply Loctite® 680™ retaining compound to bolt/screw threads.
- Remove lower bolts securing calipers to uprights and release calipers (torque - 25 Nm).
NOTE: When installing, apply Loctite® 680™ retaining compound to bolt/screw threads.
- Remove pad retaining pins and collect pads and anti-rattle springs.
NOTE: Always record quantity and fitted position of shims, washers, locktabs or clips.
- Open bleed screw and connect bottle for waste brake fluid.
- Use suitable tool, turn pistons clockwise to fully retract into calipers.
 | WARNING: To avoid serious injury, use appropriate equipment to carry out this operation. |
- Tighten bleed screw.
- Check caliper slides are free to move and seals are in good condition.
