Pipe - Low Pressure - Manifold

    Remove


  1. Remove receiver drier (refer to procedure).

  2. Remove insulation pad.

  3. Loosen low pressure charge port pipe union (torque - 15 Nm). Remove pipe.
    4. CAUTION: Plug pipe connections to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.
     

    CAUTION: To prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.
     


  4. Loosen the low pressure manifold to compressor pipe union at the low pressure manifold (torque - 35 Nm).


  5. Loosen the union between the low pressure manifold and the low pressure line pipe (torque - 35 Nm). Disconnect pipe.

  6. Clean area around TXV. Remove screw securing the low pressure manifold retaining plate to the TXV (torque - 10 Nm).


  7. Collect the retaining plate.

  8. Remove low pressure manifold pipe.

  9. Loosen union securing pipe to solenoid valve (torque - 18 Nm).


  10. Remove pipe - solenoid valve to evaporator TXV.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.

  2. Replace A/C pipe O-rings.
