Pipe - Evaporator - Solenoid Valve to TXV

    Remove


  1. Remove receiver drier (refer to procedure).

  2. Remove insulation pad.

  3. Loosen union between the low pressure manifold and the manifold to compressor pipe (torque - 35 Nm). Disconnect pipe.
    4. CAUTION: To prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.
     

    CAUTION: Plug pipe connections to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.
     


  4. Loosen union securing the low pressure manifold to the low pressure line (torque - 35 Nm). Disconnect pipe.

  5. Remove screw securing the retaining plate to the TXV (torque - 10 Nm).


  6. Collect the retaining plate. Remove the low pressure manifold to compressor pipe from the TXV.

  7. Loosen union securing pipe to solenoid valve (torque - 18 Nm).


  8. Remove pipe - solenoid valve to evaporator TXV.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.

  2. Replace A/C pipe O-rings.
