Trunk Assembly

    Remove


  1. Remove rear bumper assembly (refer to procedure).

  2. Remove rear TPMS antenna (refer to procedure).

  3. Remove transmission control module (refer to procedure).

  4. Remove clips (x3) securing bumper foam to trunk assembly. Remove bumper foam.


  5. Remove telescopic switch from trunk (refer to procedure).

  6. Release clips (x6) securing rear harness to trunk assembly.

  7. Remove trunk light (refer to procedure).

  8. Remove trunk side carpets.

  9. Remove bolts and washers (x6) securing trunk assembly to rear subframe.


  10. With assistance, remove trunk assembly.

  11. Secure trunk shims in position with a suitable adhesive tape.

    12. NOTE: Always fit the correct number of shims in the marked positions to ensure correct alignment between bumper and trunk lid.


  12. Disconnect both trunk release cables from trunk release rotor.


  13. Remove trunk emergency release handle.


  14. Remove bolts securing trunk rotor and release solenoid bracket. Remove bracket.

  15. Remove bolts (x2) securing LH trunk latch to trunk assembly and remove LH trunk latch.


  16. Remove bolts (x2) securing RH trunk latch to trunk assembly and remove RH trunk latch.

  17. Collect nut plates.

  18. Remove trunk seal.


  19. Remove bolts (x2) securing trunk light bracket to trunk and remove bracket.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal.
