Vacuum Pump

    Remove


  1. Raise and support vehicle.
    2. WARNING: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
     


  2. Remove front LH lower wheel arch liner (refer to procedure).

  3. Remove cover and NVH foams from vacuum pump.

  4. Release clip securing harness to mounting bracket.


  5. Disconnect harness connector from vacuum pump.

  6. Disconnect hose from vacuum pump.

  7. Remove nuts (x3) securing mounting bracket to crash structure.

  8. Remove nuts and bolts (x3) securing vacuum pump to bracket.

  9. Remove vacuum pump.

    Installation


  1. Installation procedure is reverse of removal except for the following.

  2. Ensure the servo operates correctly before driving the vehicle.

  3. Ensure the NVH foams and cover are correctly fitted and secured to the vacuum pump. Incorrectly fitted, or missing NVH foam can result in excessive noise when the pump is operating.
