How to use this document
This document is intended to assist in diagnosing electrical faults, and should be used in conjunction with the electrical circuit diagrams. The document is divided into the following sections:
Fuse Details
Contains information on fuse functions and values and should be used together with the power distribution circuit diagrams to establish which systems share a common power supply and to ensure that correct value fuses are fitted.
Ground Points
A plan view of the vehicle with location of all ground points. Supporting information for the connector detail appears in the relevant harness section.
Connector Details
This section is an index of every electrical connector on the vehicle, including eyelets. A page is dedicated to each connector, with the information presented in a standard format. The connector number is displayed on each page header to ease reference.
Each connector number is prefixed by the id of its parent harness and 'C', e.g. FHC24 is Front Harness Connector 24.
The color of the wires which populate each cavity are included in a table format. An example of this is given below.
Cav | Col |
1 | BK/GY |
2 | BL/WT |
3 | BR/GN |
4 | RD |
NOTE: Some cavities may be populated by two wires. This is a particular feature of the CAN circuit. The wires will be RED (RD) and BLUE (BL). An example of how this is shown in this document is given below.
Cav | Col |
1 | RD |
1 | BL |
2 | RD |
2 | BL |
Wire colors
Code | Color |
BL | Blue |
BK | Black |
BR | Brown |
GN | Green |
GY | Gray |
LG | Light Green |
OR | Orange |
PK | Pink |
PL | Purple |
RD | Red |
WT | White |
YL | Yellow |
The color of the wires is identified by a two letter code for each color and where the cable has a base and a trace color the color code for each is separated by '/' with the base color shown first, e.g. RD/WT indicates a red wire with a white trace.
References
References to the LH or RH side given in this document are made when viewing the vehicle from the rear.
Passenger compartment fuse box
The fuse box is located behind the access panel on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
To gain access to the fuse box, remove the panel by using a screwdriver to rotate the turn-buckle 90° counterclockwise, then release the panel from the dashboard.

ABS Maxi Fuse
The ABS Maxi Fuse is located on the dash frame behind the passenger compartment fuse box. To gain access the
Maxi Fuse, the passenger compartment fuse box must be released from its mounting brackets. Refer to the Service Manual for more information.

Fuse | Rating | Circuit protected |
- | 60A | Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). |
Auxiliary Battery Fuse
The Auxiliary Battery Fuse is located under the hood next to the HVAC high voltage controller. It is part of the front harness. On some early models the fuse may be located beneath the condenser ducting.

Ground Point locations
The illustration above indicates the general position of each ground point on the vehicle. Refer to the Ground Eyelets information and the connector section for more detail on each ground point.
Ground eyelets
Some gound eyelets have more than one wire connected to them. This is a common practice and a typical example of how this is shown in this document is given below.
