Wi-Fi Connection is Not Functioning

On the Networking page, Wi-Fi has been configured but the system is not connected to Tesla (indicated with a red exclamation point icon).

This may be caused by the customer's router blocking new devices from connecting.

Steps to Troubleshoot

White list the Powerwall 3 in the router's device settings:

  1. Retrieve the Powerwall 3 MAC address:
    1. On a mobile device or laptop, connect to the Powerwall 3 network.
    2. Select the Powerwall 3 network settings to view the network details.
    3. On the Network details screen, find the MAC address.
  2. Log in to the customer router and white list the Powerwall 3 MAC address.
  3. Connect the router to the 2.4 GHz network (not the 5 GHz network).
