Correction code 17010008 0.06 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Do not stack correction codes unless explicitly told to do so.NOTE: See Flat Rate Times to learn more about FRTs and how they are created. 1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
2. Disconnect LV battery connector and keep FRL connected
   Note

   1x connector, Release LV battery but keep FRL connected, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection

   

   

3. Secure LV battery maintainer and support vehicle
   Note

   Secure LV maintainer but leave the Li-ion battery disconnected, Secure positive terminal to jump post, Secure negative terminal to bolt located between brake fluid reservoir and front trunk, Connect maintainer to power supply, DO NOT allow positive cable to make contact with other metal components, Prevent shorting the cables

   

   

   

   

4. Connect LV battery
   Note

   1x connector, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

   

   

5. Open LH front door

   

6. Lower the LH front window.
7. Place vehicle in service mode
   Note

   Via UI > Controls > Software, Touch and hold "Model Y" for 4 seconds then release, Use screen keyboard to type "service" into dialog box then select OK

   

   

   

   

8. Disconnect LV maintainer
   Note

   Unplug maintainer and release connections from vehicle, Re-secure positive terminal cover

   

   

   

9. Verify the status of the LV battery.
   Note

   If after 2 minutes of PCS support, alerts VCLEFT_a478_LVBMS_MOSFET_Open or VCBATT_a478_LVBMS_MOSFET_Open are present, the LV battery has not auto-recovered. Auto-recovery can be manually attempted via touchscreen or Toolbox:

   • Touchscreen:Service Mode > Low Voltage > Power Distribution > Close MOSFET
   • Toolbox: Run the ActionPROC_VCFRONT_X_RECONNECT-LV-BATTERY

   Note

   If the steps above do not succeed in auto-recovering the LV battery, recover the battery using the Tesla Li-Ion battery charger (STILL IN DEVELOPMENT).

   • Verify that the battery is not discharging at high current and is not self-protecting.
   • Go to Service Mode > Low Voltage > Power Distribution > LV Battery and confirm that LV battery SoC is increasing.
   • Verify that the LV Battery MOSFET status is Closed.
10. Exit Service Mode
    Note

    Controls > Service Mode > Exit Service Mode, Press and hold for 2 seconds

    

11. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
