Open "DAS2 Download/Upload Calibration" panel
NotePathway is as follows: Panels > Driver Assist > DAS2 Download/Upload Calibration

Select "Download Calibration" routine and press Play
NoteThis saves all camera calibration to the laptop

Clone MCU using Toolbox software
NoteOpen Toolbox, select Panels->Gateway and Center Display->MCU Cloner->Click the MCU Backup button to clone MCU, Allow cloner to run, Confirm clone was successful and click finish

Download the correct Map Package for the vehicles region using toolbox
NoteIn toolbox pathway is as follows Panels -> Firmware -> Map Update -> Select the map package for the vehicle region from the menu-> Allow the maps to download to your laptops hard drive before closing this panel, Refer to the Tesla Map Version Confluence page for further information on which map version to download for specific regions, https://confluence.teslamotors.com/pages/viewpage.action?spaceKey=MANU&title=Map+Version, Continue with steps for removing the surrounding trim to the MCU while download is in progress, It is not necessary for the laptop to remain connected to the vehicle while downloading the map package to your laptop

Remove bolt securing LH front of console to IP

Remove RH side console closeout panel

Remove bolt securing RH front of console to IP

Disconnect 2 USB connectors and release from console trim

Release clip securing connector and disconnect 12V harness connector

Remove cup holder inserts

Remove console floor panel

Remove bolts securing middle of console to body

Remove center console from the vehicle
NoteLift rear of console up, pull backwards and lift up and remove from vehicle, Recommend assistance
-
Release ground strap from top of MCU
-
Remove the MCU mounting screws
Note4x screws, T25, 4.5 Nm,
-
Put on ESD wrist strap
-
Connect ESD wrist strap to vehicle ground
-
Tilt the MCU out from the IP carrier at the top in order to access connectors
NoteCaution: Do not pull on harnesses as it can damage the connectors
-
Disconnect harness connectors to MCU

Prepare ESD kit
NoteRefer to TN-14-92-003, “Electrostatic Discharge Tool”.CAUTION: Improper use of ESD kit can result in damage to MCU and/or touchscreen.CAUTION: Make sure that ESD foam container is free of debris so that touchscreen is not damaged in a later step.

Place an ESD foam container on the right side of the ESD mat
-
Gently place the MCU on the ESD foam container with the touchscreen facing down
NoteCAUTION: To avoid damaging components inside the MCU, the ESD wrist strap must be grounded and worn throughout this procedure until instructed to remove it.

Remove fasteners securing instrument cluster to IP carrier
Note4x screws, T20, 2 Nm

Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the instrument cluster and remove from IP carrier
Note3x connectors, tilt the IC away from the IP carrier to access connections, Take care not to put excessive strain on the wiring and connectors to the IC (1x chime connector pulls straight out, 1x flip lock type connector, 1x coaxial connector, release tab is on the underside of the connector), After removal place the IC on ESD safe surface

Disconnect connectors from RH side of DAS ECU
Note7x connectors, DAS 2.0 has 4x connectors

Remove fasteners securing the ECU to the cross car beam
Note4x nuts, 8mm, 3 Nm, Discard after removal
-
Disconnect connectors from LH side of DAS ECU and remove from vehicle
Note7x connectors, DAS 2.5 has 6x connectors
-
Disconnect ESD wrist strap from vehicle ground
-
Remove the ESD wrist strap
-
Remove the passenger airbag mounting bolts
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

Disconnect passenger airbag connectors
Note2x connectors, Release locking tab

Release top pad at leading edge, from RH outer finisher to inner finisher

Release the LH side of the top pad working from right to left
Note9x clips, Use caution to not crease aluminum trim when lifting top pad

Release remaining clips, remove top pad from vehicle, and place onto protective surface

Remove defrost mesh grille assembly

Remove screws securing airbag to steering wheel
Note2x screws, T25, 7 Nm, The screws will remain inside the steering wheel, If required rotate the steering wheel to gain access to screws, Afterwards return steering wheel to straight and center position

Carefully release the driver's airbag from the steering wheel assembly
Note3x connectors, disconnect the airbag and steering wheel controls

Remove bolt that secures the steering wheel to the column

Position the wheels straight ahead and mark the steering wheel relative position to the column

Tape the clockspring cassette to prevent rotation

Release harness connector from SCCM and remove SCCM

Verify no high voltage at HV rapid mate
NoteMake sure to wear PPE (HV gloves, safety glasses) when working on high voltage component, Measure B+ to Ground, B- to Ground, B+ to B-, If voltage is greater than 10V, Pack contactors are not open or welded, Stop work and reach out to Service Engineering

Install HV and LV Rapid Mate covers

Remove the second row RKE antenna from under the rubber NVH mat and feed out under the second row seat frame

NoteGently pull the lines away from the bulkhead/ HVAC box, be sure to retain the O-rings at the TXV

Disconnect thermal controller

Disconnect HVAC blower assembly and RKE connector and release harness clip

Remove fasteners securing HVAC assembly to the body

Release HVAC drain hose from HVAC assembly

Disconnect sensor from RH lower air duct on HVAC assembly

Remove the RH lower air duct from the HVAC assembly
NoteLower left slide of duct and slide out to the left to release from HVAC assembly

Remove the HVAC assembly cross brace
NoteGently push brace to the left to release from HVAC box on RH side, Pull the brace towards the rear for the vehicle then side out to the right to release from HVAC assembly

Remove fasteners securing the PTC heater to the HVAC assembly

Remove the PTC heater from the HVAC assembly
NoteSlide PTC heater out to the left while taking care not to strain the HV cables, Gently move the PTC heater and HV cables behind the HVAC assembly so it can be removed from the vehicle, Take necessary measures to protect the PTC heater and its cables so it can be easily moved out of the way during main body harness replacement as needed

Release connectors from the BCM

Remove BCM bracket with BCM
NoteSlide the BCM and bracket assembly out to the LH footwell area, The fitment between the BCM bracket, the HVAC drain hose, wiring harnesses, and cross car beam assembly is tight, The BCM with bracket will need to be moved at different angles to clear the surrounding components

Disconnect the Passive Safety Restraint Control Module (PRSCM)

Release the harness clips at the PRSCM mounting bracket

Disconnect harness connectors from connector carrier at lower RH A pillar

Release the front trunk connectors from the RH lower A pillar connector carrier
Note5x connectors, Release locking tabs and pull connectors straight out of the carrier, Locking tab to carrier is on the inboard side of the connector carrier

Remove the main harness from the vehicle
NoteTake care not to damage surrounding components while removing the harness from the vehicle, This is a good time to compare to the new harness provided to ensure parts received are compatible with the vehicle

Place new main (lower dash) harness in vehicle and lay harness out to its general installation orientation inside the vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, Take care not to damage any connectors while routing harness and moving around inside the vehicle

Secure the main harness clips at the RH side of the bulkhead
Note5x clips. Re-secure the front harness clips over the main harness clips if only main body harness is being replaced

Install the front harness connectors into the connector carrier at the lower RH A pillar
Note5x connectors, Ensure connectors are fully seated and lock into the connector carrier
-
Make connections to all connectors on connector carrier at RH lower A pillar

Secure the RH Lower A pillar connector carrier bracket to the in cabin fuse box

Reconnect all main harness connections at the in cabin fuse box

Connect RH side DAS ECU connectors

Disconnect ESD wrist strap from vehicle ground

Remove ESD wrist strap

Install LH footwell cover
Note2x tabs, 2x clips, 1x connector, Align the tabs on the footwell cover into the slots in the footwell bracket cover before securing the clips

Install glove box into vehicle
Note3x connectors, 6x screws, T20, 2.3 Nm

Install screws securing top pad at binnacle area
Note2x screws, T20, 1 Nm

Install lower binnacle cover
Note4x clips, Replace any damaged or missing clips

Install the upper glove box trim into the vehicle
Note13x clips, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to installation,

Close glove box

Install the lower glove box trim panel

Check and ensure IP top pad clips are fully seated into the IP carrier

Install screw that secures LH side of top pad

Install LH upper A pillar trim
Note1x screw with washer, 7mm, 2 Nm, 1x connector, 2x locating tabs, 1x clip

Install screw securing RH side of top pad
Note1x screw, T20, 1 Nm

Place center console into vehicle

Park vehicle on a flat surface

Set up the tripod so that the bottom of the target is 3 ft (90 cm) from the ground

Place the target against the front fascia and centered on the T badge
NoteThis is "Location 1" in the Toolbox Panel
- Measure 90 cm back from the rear tripod leg and place marker on ground. This will be second location verification.

Ensure that the target is on flat ground by examining the bubble level on the back of the target
-
Apply a piece of red tape on the target 130cm from the ground
-
Connect laptop running Toolbox to the vehicle

Open the "DAS2 Image Viewer" panel

Click the "Capture Image" button to take an image of the target

Zoom in on narrow and main cameras and inspect to see if tape at 130cm from ground is between the red lines
NoteIf tape at 130cm from ground is between the red lines, continue to 2nd target location. If tape is not between lines, pitch adjustment may need to be performed.
- Move target to 2nd marker (90 cm away from fascia)

Click the "Capture Image" button to take an image of the target

Disconnect laptop from vehicle and reinstall storage cubby

Raise all 4 windows
